About arenaflex's Client Systems Team The Client Systems team at arenaflex is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with our business leaders and other stakeholders to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality results under pressure. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex Java-based applications, including backend systems, APIs, and microservices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs Work with business leaders and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure code Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve arenaflex's products and services Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 2+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend systems and APIs Strong understanding of Java programming language, including Java 8 and later versions Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate Knowledge of database design and data modeling, including relational and NoSQL databases Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science or related field Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or Docker Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Kubernetes Familiarity with cloud-based services, such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions Strong understanding of security principles and best practices Experience with testing frameworks and tools, such as JUnit or TestNG Skills and Competencies Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Strong understanding of security principles and best practices Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
