Part-Time Technical Business Analyst (Agile / Azure DevOps) Wylice Solutions LLC, an Omaha-based software development, IT consulting, and offshore workforce firm, is seeking a Part-Time Technical Business Analyst to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between clients and developers, helping transform business needs into clear technical requirements, testing software features, organizing projects, and supporting successful software delivery. This is a part-time remote/work-from-home position with the potential to become full-time for the right candidate. Candidates must be located in the Omaha metro area and available for occasional local client meetings. What You’ll Do • Meet with clients to gather business and technical requirements • Translate meeting notes and client discussions into organized developer tasks and user stories within Azure DevOps • Create clear acceptance criteria and supporting documentation for development teams • Create mockups, workflows, wireframes, and system diagrams to help communicate software functionality • Perform QA and user acceptance testing (UAT) on newly developed features before client release • Document systems, workflows, business processes, and application functionality • Coordinate with developers, architects, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle • Help organize and prioritize development work in Agile environments • Assist with project coordination and feature launch preparation Required Qualifications • You have an IT background or strong technical aptitude • You understand the software development lifecycle (SDLC) • You are familiar with Agile software development methodologies • You have experience using or understanding Azure DevOps • You possess above-average technical knowledge of websites, applications, and software systems • This is not a software development role, and hard coding skills are not required; however, you should be comfortable discussing technical concepts with developers and clients • You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities • You are an excellent written and verbal communicator • You are comfortable leading conversations with business professionals and technical teams • You are located in the Omaha metro area and available for occasional local meetings Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in a software consulting or agency environment • Experience writing user stories, requirements, or technical documentation • Familiarity with wireframing/mockup tools such as Figma, Axure, or similar platforms • Experience creating workflow diagrams using Lucidchart, Visio, or similar tools • Prior QA testing or UAT experience • Some software development experience or education • Four-year degree in an IT-related field What Success Looks Like in This Role • Developers receive clear, actionable requirements and tasks • Clients feel informed, organized, and understood • Software releases are tested thoroughly before delivery • Documentation and workflows are professional and easy to follow • Projects move efficiently from idea to implementation Work Environment • Mostly remote with flexible scheduling • Approximately 15–30 hours per week • Availability during standard business hours for scheduled client meetings • Client meetings are typically scheduled in advance and occur 0–3 times per week • Occasional in-person collaboration sessions at local cafes or client locations About Wylice Solutions Wylice Solutions is a software development and IT consulting company focused on helping businesses modernize operations, improve workflows, and build custom digital solutions.
