Fractional Technical Product Lead — Hardware / Refrigeration Startup
MyFridg™ is building a patent-filed Lifestyle Cooling™ platform focused on premium personal cooling environments for senior living, campus, wellness, hospitality, and residential use.
We are not looking for generic advice. We are building an expert bench around Stage 1 technical proof, prototype feasibility, safety/compliance mapping, and early market validation.
We are seeking a fractional technical product lead or hardware product development advisor who can help organize the path from concept and CAD toward functional proof, testing, vendor coordination, and manufacturability review.
Ideal background:
• Mechanical engineering, product development, or hardware startup experience
• Consumer appliance, refrigeration, thermal system, electromechanical, or compact hardware experience preferred
• Experience with prototyping, DFM, BOM review, component sourcing, testing, and vendor coordination
• Ability to work with refrigeration specialists, CAD partners, compliance advisors, and fabrication vendors
• Comfortable in early-stage startup environments
• Able to translate technical risk into clear founder/investor/partner-ready decisions
Initial scope may include:
• Reviewing technical assumptions
• Helping define Stage 1 proof-of-function criteria
• Coordinating refrigeration/thermal review
• Supporting prototype architecture decisions
• Identifying early safety, compliance, airflow, power, noise, and manufacturability risks
• Helping prepare technical documentation for future partners, vendors, or investors
Engagement structure:
This is a fractional, contract, or advisory opportunity. Compensation may be hourly, project-based, milestone-based, or structured as a short advisory sprint. Long-term involvement may be considered after fit and contribution are proven.
Confidential product details will only be shared after NDA execution.
To apply:
Please share a short note describing one relevant hardware, appliance, refrigeration, thermal, or electromechanical product you helped move from concept toward prototype, testing, DFM, or production.
